Toy Pitch 3 - "The Waterwheel of Kirby's"
Concept Statement: Round and Round it goes, will it stop? Nobody knows!"
Setting/Mood: Daytime, relaxing yet a thinking game. Your goal is to gather the Kirby's into the basket to gain points. There are other things I wanted to do with this mechanic like perhaps platforming amongst multiple waterwheels or maybe you have to fill up the basket enough before you can move onto the next level. The setting I was thinking more along the lines of rock mountainside with water running down (lots of waterfalls). Daytime. I can personally see this being more of a puzzle game and a counting game rather than a platforming type game.
Brief Backstory/Ideas: Since the ideas I have pitched so far have been going through things or picking up things, I wanted to relate it back to a basic toy that you could alter but needed to use to win. So you have the ability to chose to turn the wheel to the left or right and alter its course to try and get the kirbys into the different baskets. Later on I will add a counter so that you can keep score. I really liked this idea because it was simple and easy to use. I would love to use it for different things, maybe in the beginning try and count and maybe have the puzzle get harder by adding multiple wheels with only one basket.
Obstacle Ideas: As explained before, platforming and maybe even a seesaw, because I also have made a quick seesaw that I might use if I decide to use the wheel as a platform. Also, since I used thrusters to move the wheel to go in different directions, I might make them go faster and slower depending on the puzzle. Also, I could make a sort of clockwork of wheels to make it harder for the puzzle.
